By default the View uses the same Wi Fi as your phone, so all you have to do is enter your password, but you can choose to connect to another network. After 45 seconds or so the doorbell came online. At this point, you can view instructions for mounting the doorbell, or skip it if you already know how to do this. I attached the flush mounting plate to the siding by my front door, snapped the View into place, and twisted the locking screw to secure it.
